Name of the administrative service

Verification of occupational safety and health (OSH) knowledge at the State Labour Inspectorate under the Ministry of Social Security and Labour of the Republic of Lithuania and submission of data confirming the fact of verification.

Description of the administrative service

Employers, persons representing employers, including those performing the functions of the occupational safety and health service, and persons authorized by the employer to perform the functions of the occupational safety and health service, as well as occupational safety and health specialists shall be provided with conditions to verify the OSH knowledge in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Panevėžys, Alytus, Marijampolė, Utena, Tauragė and Telšiai territorial divisions. Persons wishing to undergo the verification of OSH knowledge must register on the SLI website (www.vdi.lt), choosing a convenient suggested date for verification within a period of the next month.

Legislation governing the provision of administrative services

Article 12 and Article 26(1) of the Law on Occupational Safety and Health of the Republic of Lithuania (current edition valid from 01/07/2017)

6.

Information and documents to be provided by the person

A person arriving to verify the OSH knowledge shall provide:
1. An identity document (personal identity card or passport);
2. A document certifying education, if the requirement to have appropriate education is established by legal acts and/or training program.
If a person plans to use the services of an interpreter/translator, the interpreter/translator shall provide:
1. An identity document (personal identity card or passport);
2. A document certifying the qualification of the interpreter/translator (a study certificate confirming a study program in philology or translation);
3. A certificate of individual activity granting the right to engage in the activity of translator, a business certificate or a free-form certificate issued by a company providing translation services confirming the duties of a particular person (translator) and the existence of an employment relationship.

7.

Information and documents to be provided to the SLI (the official hearing the application)

Vocational training providers who have notified the SLI about the training activities they provide shall communicate information by electronic means on the beginning of training of persons intending to get verification of OSH knowledge at the SLI and the completion of the training program.

Duration of the administrative service

Document confirming the results of the verification of OSH knowledge shall be issued at the territorial division of the SLI where this knowledge was tested, within 3 working days after the test, at the request of the person

Price of provision of administrative service (if the service is provided for a fee)

The service is free of charge.

13.

Application and notification form, content

The registration form is available on the SLI website www.vdi.lt. The personal data provided by the occupational training provider shall be filled in or clarified in the established form: name, surname, date of birth, contact details are provided and the freely chosen proposed date of OSH knowledge verification. Confirmation of the date, place (with address) and time of the OSH knowledge test shall be sent by to the e-mail address indicated by the person.

14.

Information and communication technologies used in the provision of administrative services

The administrative service is of the level of maturity of two-way interaction (3rd level of maturity of transferring the information administrative service to the Internet). Information on the administrative service is available on the SLI website under the heading “Services” (“Service Provision Descriptions”). Data transmission and registration for knowledge verification shall be performed by electronic means of communication.

Peculiarities of administrative service provision

The administrative service is final.

16.

Inclusion of descriptions of the provision of administrative services in the accounting of documents

Documents of the administrative procedure shall be stored in the register of stored documents “Documents of verification of occupational safety and health (OSH) knowledge”
